Closing out chapter 19 in the Gospel of John, we hear John’s narrative of the crucifixion continue as he tells the story of the immediate aftermath of Jesus’s death, including his burial.  Here we see, hanging on the cross, the one who is the Lamb of God, as John the Baptist declared at the beginning of the Gospel. A reminder that our Lord paid it all on the cross to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
